Context:
By the 2018/19 season, Arsenal FC had experienced a fall in status from their norm throughout the 2000s. The visualisation highlights the monetary loss of another disappointing season and suggests a solution through viable player transfers.
The project was part of an application to create a data visualisation using any data source of our choosing. I chose the FIFA 19 player database to make a scouting tool to recommend players given the constraints: age, wage and transfer budget for any football club.
The final product developed into a case study based on Arsenal FC. Although Arsenal FC had previously finished in positions for UEFA Champions League qualification throughout the 2000s, they were likely to miss eligibility for the third year in a row. Building on my previous iterations of scouting tools, this supplemented the solution by improving the squad through player acquisition.
